We are pleased to advise that we have completed the installation of our updated
scanning and other equipment facilitating biometric passports, and whilst we are
still in a test phase till end June, we are taking appointments for passport
applications and renewals as from 1st July 2010. Please note:
- There is no longer a need to go to Pretoria for fingerprint scans, the complete application can now be handled in Durban
- In view of the current backlog, we will handle applications by appointment only for the forseable future.
Please send an email to gcd@caraville.com suggesting a date and time when you would like to come in, also
stating your contact number, expiry date of current passport (if applicable), and intended travel date. We
will revert to you, and confirm an appointment for you.
- At this stage, during the introductory phase, there are no additional costs associated with the scanning process required
for passport applications. This may however change into the future.

To also ease the process of the application you can already complete the application form from the comfort of your home. Kindly print the application form double sided on one sheet of paper and fill it in. You are required to bring along one biometric photograph, all requested certificates as well as your current identification documents (passport, ID-Book etc.). The original plus 2 copies each need to be supplied.
